Mitchell R. Butier is senior vice president and chief financial officer of Avery Dennison Corporation. He was elected to his current position in May, 2010.

As senior vice president and chief financial officer, Mr. Butier leads the Company’s financial strategy and operations, including the audit, financial reporting, investor relations, planning and analysis, tax and treasury functions, as well as oversight of the Finance functions of the Company’s businesses.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Butier was corporate vice president, global finance and chief accounting officer, a position he held starting in March, 2008. Mr. Butier joined Avery Dennison in 2000 as Finance director of Office Products North America, and served as the group director of Finance in Roll Materials Europe from 2002 to 2004. Subsequently, Mr. Butier was appointed to vice president of Finance in Retail Information Services as well as general manager of Information Brand Management Division - Americas. He also served as acting group vice president of RIS as well as vice president, controller in 2007. Prior to joining Avery Dennison, Mr. Butier served as senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Mr. Butier graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a BSA.
