1. How can I find out which jobs are currently available?Find the available jobs in your region by clicking on the appropriate link under Join Our Team. You can limit your search by city of interest, keywords and/or function. 2. How will I know when a new opportunity becomes available?You can sign up for myJobALERT, which will notify you bout specific positions that are a good fit for you. Click on myJobALERT in the Job Search section to create up to three profiles that outline your areas of career interest. Whenever we have an opening that matches your profile, myJobALERT will automatically e-mail you and provide a link to the job details. 3. How can I notify a friend about job opportunities at Avery Dennison?In the regional Job Search section of your choice, select the job you would like to submit to a friend. View the job description and then click on "E-mail a Friend." 4. Can I submit a resume/CV to Avery Dennison even if there isn’t a position currently available that is of interest to me?Yes. Simply create a profile and enter your skills and qualifications into the system so a recruiter can perform searches based on your information. 5. How will I know if my profile has been received?You will receive an e-mail notification confirming that we have received your profile. 6. What happens after you have received my profile?One of our recruiters will carefully review your qualifications and skills against the requirements of the current open positions. Should your experience and skills match an available position, you will be contacted to arrange an interview within 30 days. 7. How long will my profile remain in your database? How often should I update it?If your personal or employment information changes, we recommend that you update your personal profile. At a minimum, your profile should be updated every 12 months. Your profile will be kept for three years. 8. How can I change my profile information?Once you have created a profile, you may change your personal information or update your resume as needed. Simply access your profile with your login information, click on "edit my profile" and make the necessary changes. 9. I already have a resume/CV prepared. Why should I take the time to fill out a profile rather than send you my resume?Our online application process will save you time by enabling you to easily update your personal and employment information as well as apply to multiple positions. You can cut and paste your electronic resume into your profile or attach it to the profile for our recruiters to reference. 10. What if I forget my password?Use the "Forgot your Password" function at the bottom of the login screen. You will receive an e-mail containing a temporary password and instructions on how to change your password. 11. How can I prepare for my interview with Avery Dennison?Preparation: Take the time to read and learn about us. This is also as much an interview for you as it is for us so start well in advance to look through our website, where you will find all the information you need. We expect you to ask us questions, so take your time to write down questions that you would like to have answered during the interview. Presentation: How you present yourself also has an impact, as well as what you say in the interview. It is appropriate to wear a business suit, unless you have been directed to wear business casual. The interview: The interview is a good way for us to get to know more about your work experience and it's also a measure for us to see how you handle pressure. Preparing yourself for the interview will help you become more relaxed. We use behavior -based questions and look for you to share very specific examples of your past work situations. We have your resume/CV, so we know what your skills and work experiences are but we want to know what situations helped you progress and learn. Remember to appear confident and speak confidently! If you don't understand a question, don't hesitate to ask us to repeat it or to clarify. Follow-up: Make sure you get a business card from the person or people that you meet with and send a note or e-mail to each one as soon as possible after the interview. You can expect the recruiter to provide you feedback about the next steps or your candidacy for the role within a week of the on-site interview. If you are not considered for the position, don't hesitate to ask for specific feedback on what you can do to prepare better for future interviews. Also, if you determined that this is not a good fit for you, please notify the recruiter you have been in touch with as soon as possible. This will free up an opportunity for other candidates. 12.
