We started with $100 and a dream
With a few used machine parts, a saber saw and a $100 loan from his then-fiancée Dorothy Durfee, in 1935 Ray Stanton (“Stan”) Avery invented the world’s first die-cut labeling machine and the self-adhesive label.
Since these humble beginnings we’ve grown from one innovation into a global Fortune 500® corporation offering a broad portfolio of products.
