What attracted you to your chosen work?  

 

My knowledge of Avery Dennison began a decade ago while I was still establishing myself in the textile industry. It became a personal ambition to join a truly global organization that fostered international collaboration. Since joining as an RBO Sales Executive in early 2019, I have witnessed the remarkable synergy and leadership that define our culture, particularly during the warehouse challenges of my first year. The way our leaders stood side-by-side with us daily left a lasting impression. Throughout my seven-year tenure, Avery Dennison has consistently offered pathways for professional development and fresh challenges for those eager to embrace them.

 

What skills did you develop early that are still useful today?

 

As a member of the commercial team, I believe that communication, presentation and negotiation remain vital. Coupled with a client-centric mindset, resilience and adaptability, these competencies are essential for resolving complex customer challenges while consistently delivering high-impact value.

How have you grown in your career at Avery Dennison?

 

My professional trajectory has been characterized by consistent evolution and growth. I have advanced from my initial role as an RBO Sales Executive through progressively senior positions, including Senior Sales, Assistant Sales Manager and RBO Sales Manager. Each milestone has served as a vital stepping stone in this dynamic career path. I am now eager to apply my expertise to a new challenge as Business Development Manager.

 

What's the biggest stretch opportunity you've taken on?

 

My development was accelerated three years ago when I spearheaded a retail management project. This initiative pushed me beyond the standard Avery Dennison portfolio and provided me with a comprehensive grasp of the omnichannel landscape, particularly in connecting digital and physical realms. I have since leveraged this ability to blend different environments to address intricate client needs, opening up substantial new prospects in the industry.

What role has mentorship played in your career?

 

The mentorship I have received, particularly from Gregory Dergadin, Paul Nguyen and Chau Nguyen, remains deeply ingrained in my leadership style. By teaching me how to manage complexity through a strategic lens and provide my team with precise direction, they fundamentally reshaped my business philosophy. It was their confidence in my capabilities that emboldened me to embrace new market challenges and transition into the Business Development field.

 

What's the best career decision you've ever made?

 

Deciding to join Avery Dennison stands as the premier choice of my professional life. My experience within the company has been remarkably vibrant, and I appreciate the immense development it has fostered. I have gained insightful lessons from everyone I have encountered, which continuously fuels my daily professional advancement.

 

As you think about the next steps in your career, what are the most important actions you plan to take?

 

My future objectives center on two key areas: capability building and market penetration. I am proactively working to enhance my strategic planning expertise while gaining a more profound grasp of our emerging local business sectors. My goal is to ensure that my move into Business Development represents a substantial boost in the value I contribute to Avery Dennison, far exceeding a simple change in job title.

 

What do you enjoy most about the work you do?

 

The core of my passion lies at the crossroads of strategy and people. I find great fulfillment in crafting high-level strategic pathways and mentoring my team to achieve unified alignment. My daily motivation is fueled by witnessing my team's professional growth as we collectively reach our expansion targets.
