The Avery Dennison investment aligns with its roll-to-roll manufacturing expertise and functional materials innovations for the energy storage sector
MENTOR, Ohio, April 28, 2025 — Avery Dennison Corporation (NYSE:AVY) has announced an investment of Series B funding for Addionics, manufacturer of 3D Current Collectors™. The investment, along with Avery Dennison manufacturing expertise, will be used in support of Addionics’ plans to scale its production process. Avery Dennison is one of several strategic industry investors in Addionics.
Addionics provides Smart 3D Current Collectors that enhance battery performance while reducing production costs. Designed for mass production on roll-to-roll integrated lines, Addionics' technology increases capacity, improves safety, shortens charging times and extends lifespan — across all battery chemistries, from existing to emerging technologies. The current collectors seamlessly integrate into existing manufacturing processes and transform standard production lines into enablers of next-generation battery technology.
