Improving Roadway Safety in Brazil for more than 20 Years

Most fatal road accidents involving trucks occur at night when visibility is poor. Research shows that vehicle conspicuity tape improves safety through accident avoidance and reduces accident severity. In Brazil, 47% of the fatalities on federal roads in 2021 were caused by accidents involving trucks, industrial machinery, or tractor trucks where lack of retroreflective tapes was determined to be a factor.1

All heavy vehicles, trailers and buses should be fitted with high-visibility retroreflective tapes to easily identify and delimit the load's size. Each of them will have a different application depending on the different technical manuals of each country. In Brazil's case, they must comply with CONTRAN resolution 948/22 for lateral tape, resolution 952/22 for bumpers, and resolution 939/22 for passenger transport and buses of March 28, 2022.

For the past 20 years, Avery Dennison V-5720 & V-5770 conspicuity tapes have been the preferred solution for meeting Brazil's truck and bus tape requirements. Not only do local companies enjoy our helpful customer service, but they also experience many product benefits that come with our unique features.
