Deena Baker-Nel is the senior vice president and chief human resources officer of Avery Dennison Corporation. She was appointed to this position in September 2020.
In her role, she oversees the development and execution of a global human resources strategy, in support of the company’s overall strategic direction. The Global Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility functions also report to her.
Deena joined Avery Dennison in 2006. She has held a number of human resources leadership roles within corporate and the company's business units, most recently having served as vice president, global human resources, Label and Graphic Materials, based in The Netherlands.
Deena earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio and a master’s degree in counseling from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia.
