What attracted you to your chosen work?

I’ve in the same industry for eight years. During a social gathering, I spoke with a friend who worked at Avery Dennison, and he shared a lot about his experience. I saw many positive changes happening within the company, and I wanted to be part of the team.

What skills did you develop early that are still useful today?

My career at Avery Dennison began as a cutting machine operator. The work involved cutting various types of materials using dedicated process recipes. Because of subtle differences in material quality, careful process observation was essential to identify and correct potential issues.

The process monitoring skills I developed early on, such as recognizing audible differences during operation and closely observing material behavior, are still part of my daily work. I also apply these skills when training new employees, helping to resolve issues reported by younger or less experienced colleagues.

How have you grown in your career at Avery Dennison?

My second role at Avery Dennison was, and still is, being a Senior Packaging Process Operator.

In addition, I have had the opportunity to step in for the Team Leader during their absence. Currently, I’m temporarily serving in the Team Leader position.

At the same time, I’m a member of the Security Team in the production area and occasionally participate in HR projects. These experiences have allowed me to broaden my responsibilities and develop new skills beyond my core role.

What's the biggest stretch opportunity you've taken on?

From a professional development perspective, joining Avery Dennison was one of my biggest opportunities. It allowed me to experience the work culture of a large, global organization.

My greatest stretch opportunity has been serving as a Team Lead. In addition to production responsibilities, this role has allowed me to develop soft skills such as team management, communication and problem-solving.

What role has mentorship played in your career?

In my case, mentorship has been a two-way experience. More experienced employees helped me adapt to my role and understand the work structure. Thanks to their guidance, I learned to operate machines more efficiently, avoid mistakes and work more safely.

At the same time, my direct supervisor and the HR department have recognized my commitment and supported my development in other areas by involving me in various projects and entrusting me with additional responsibilities. This gave me a broader view of the organization, beyond working on a single machine.

The greatest added value of working at Avery Dennison is the people.

What's the best career decision you've ever made?

One of my most important career decisions was joining a large international organization, which pushed me to continue developing both personally and professionally.

Another key milestone in my career was earning my Master’s in Human Resources Management in 2025. I originally began my Bachelor’s Degree intending to become a physical education teacher, so this represented a significant and meaningful shift.

Equally important is my current role, where I have realized that working with people is the direction I want to pursue.

As you think about the next steps in your career, what are the most important actions you plan to take?

Looking ahead, I want to continue developing and strengthening my skills in the production area, particularly in operations related to packaging lines and cutting machines. Improving my language skills is also a priority, as it will support communication with international service centers and foreign customers.

In addition, I plan to further develop my process management skills. My goal is to provide stronger support to the team during daily operations and continuously improve how we work together.

What do you enjoy most about the work you do?

I enjoy that my work is concrete and results-oriented. I know what needs to be done and I can clearly see the outcomes of my efforts. I also value the strong sense of teamwork. In production, everyone depends on one another and when each person does their part, the work runs smoothly.

The greatest added value of working at Avery Dennison is the people.
