The Roadshow That Transformed Buenos Aires: Innovation, Signage, and High-Performance Traffic Technology

April 26, 2026, will be remembered in the collective memory of Buenos Aires as far more than a sporting event. It was a public celebration, a demonstration of passion, and a reminder of something that deeply defines Argentina: when one of our own reaches the very top, the entire country rallies behind them.

That Sunday, more than 500,000 people took to the streets to see Franco Colapinto. Families, fans, curious spectators, and motorsport enthusiasts gathered in one place, united by the excitement of seeing an Argentine driver up close who had broken into the elite of world motorsport.

It was not just a roadshow. It was an urban experience on an international scale.

The roar of the engine echoing through the city, cell phones raised high, Argentine flags waving, and an energy difficult to describe transformed Buenos Aires into a vibrant stage. For a few hours, the city ceased to be merely a capital and became a circuit filled with pride, identity, and collective emotion.

A Traffic Signage Project Developed to the Highest Standards

Behind this unforgettable experience was a technical and logistical operation worthy of the challenge. VialParking was appointed as the official supplier for the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, taking responsibility for manufacturing and installing all temporary circuit signage using Avery Dennison T-2500 retroreflective sheeting prismatic engineering grade, printed with TrafficJet™ Xpress technology.

The project demanded fast manufacturing and precise graphics. The final product also needed to be highly visible, legible, and durable to withstand the event's dynamic conditions, city traffic, and nighttime exposure.

The use of TrafficJet™ Xpress technology made it possible to optimize production times, maintain color consistency, and guarantee excellent print quality on high-performance retroreflective materials, ensuring a result aligned with international traffic signage standards.

The First 300 km/h Traffic Sign Manufactured in Argentina

This project also marked an unprecedented milestone for the local industry: for the first time in Argentina, a 300 km/h maximum speed sign was manufactured.

Although it was a sign specifically developed for the event and not a standardized traffic sign within regular urban regulations, it was produced using the same technological standards and materials applied in certified traffic signage. This ensured optimal levels of retroreflectivity, durability, color stability, and visual performance.

The choice of Avery Dennison T-2500 retroreflective sheeting met the need to guarantee maximum visibility and visual impact, even under variable lighting conditions and at long viewing distances.

The result quickly went beyond the circuit itself. Images of the signs went viral on social media and in specialized media outlets, generating attention both locally and internationally.

Seeing a “300 km/h” sign in the middle of the city immediately connected with the public. Attendees wanted to see it, but also photograph it, share it, and make it part of the memory of a historic day.

Teamwork That Rose to the Challenge

This milestone also reflects the human commitment behind every detail. The VialParking team responded with excellence at every stage of the project, from manufacturing to final installation, with the leadership of Ximena Moral standing out for driving the development with professionalism, technical coordination, and a strong focus on quality.

What took place in Buenos Aires was far more than a motorsport exhibition. It was proof that Argentina not only produces talent capable of competing at the highest levels of world motorsport, but also companies, technology, and professionals prepared to deliver projects under the most demanding international standards. And on April 26, half a million people made that unmistakably clear.
